The Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) at Nar Bahadur Bhandari Government College, Tadong, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of NBBGC, Tadong, has successfully conducted a “5-day Faculty Development Programme on Entrepreneurship” from March 18 to 22, 2024. The programme aimed to equip faculty members with the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among students. This initiative is a part of a project titled “Establish, Develop, and Manage Entrepreneurship Development Centres (EDCs) and Incubation Centres (ICs) in the educational institutes of the North Eastern Region,” sponsored by the esteemed North Eastern Council (NEC), Shillong, Government of India, and implemented by the prestigious Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati.
Prof. Chingtham Tejbanta Singh, CEO of Atal Incubation Centre, SMIT, Majitar, graced the inaugural session and set the tone for the subsequent days of learning and interaction. Later, distinguished resource persons from diverse backgrounds, including academia, industry, governmental departments, entrepreneurs, and financial institutions, led the learning sessions and shared their expertise and experiences.
The culmination of the five-day programme was marked by a valedictory programme on March 22, 2024. Dr. D. Purohit, Principal of NBBGC, Tadong, congratulated the coordinators of EDC, Dr. Santosh Sharma and Mr. Dushyant Kharel, for the successful conduct and conclusion of the programme and commended that such an event would contribute to nurturing the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the state.
