NSS

The NSS unit is comprised of volunteer- students from all the undergraduate batches. The activities of the NSS unit are supervised by three coordinators selected from the existing faculty members. Activities like blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, community welfare and socially relevant works are undertaken by the NSS volunteers from time to time.

With the motto “Not Me But You” NSS is a part of our College involving students in as many activities as possible to fulfill the aims and objectives of NSS. The main objectives of National Service Scheme (NSS) are:

i. to understand the community in which they work
ii. to understand themselves in relation to their community
iii.to identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving
iv.to develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
v. to utilize their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems
vi. to develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities
vii. to gain skills in mobilizing community participation
viii. to acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes
ix.to develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and
x. to practice national integration and social harmony
