The Department of Tourism, NBBGC observed World Tourism Day on 27th September 2022 in the college campus. The theme for World Tourism Day 2022 is 'Rethinking Tourism'. This day is celebrated by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) with an aim to inspire the debate around rethinking tourism for development through education and jobs, tourism’s impact on the planet, and opportunities to grow more sustainably. The students were briefed about the theme and were also asked to share their thoughts on the opportunities & sustainability aspects of the Tourism Sector. The Vth & IIIrd semester tourism students also put up food stalls, selling sumptuous local delicacies representing their culture & its delectable cuisine. It is worth mentioning that instead of single use plastic products, organic & eco-friendly products were used to serve the food.
