Dr. Satyadeep Chhetri, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, NBBGC was conferred the "Writer of the Year" award for his debut novel 'Gorkhaland Diaries' by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri P. S. Tamang (Golay).
The 1st Sikkim Awards was held at Mayfair Resorts, Gangtok on 22nd Oct 2023 at 5 pm. The award ceremony was held to felicitate personalities and organisations from various fields of art, literature, business, entrepreneurship, social service, public service etc. The awards were instituted by "Nirmala Devi Foundation" and the same were presented by the Hon. Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri P. S. Tamang (Golay).
