Awareness Programme on HIV AIDS/ STI by SSACS and NETREACH (Global Fund Project) organised in collaboration with the Dept. of Sociology, N.B.B.G.C., Tadong
Sikkim State Aids Control Society (SSACS) and NETREACH (Global Fund Project) in collaboration with the Department of Sociology, N.B.B.G.C., Tadong organised a two hour awareness programme on sexual health with focus on HIV AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). The programme was held from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm on Friday, 29th October, 2021. Three resource persons were invited to deliver their talks on the above mentioned themes:
- Mr. Phur Tshering Lepcha, AD (Youth), SSACS
- Ms. Salima Kharel, Counselor, STIs, SMIMS
- Mr. Upasak Chakrabarty, NETREACH
The interactive programme was held in the Smart Class, B.Voc Building. Final year students of Sociology Honours benefitted from the programme. Further, on spot testing for HIV was also organised in the college campus.
