District Electoral Officer cum District Collector, Gangtok organised a “Gangtok District Youth Festival” as a part of the Summary Revision 2023 electoral process on 30th November 2022 at Sikkim Manipal Auditorium, Tadong, Gangtok.
The main purpose of this programme was to aware students regarding electoral process, voting rights and mock parliament etc. Different colleges and universities of Gangtok district participated in this programme. The event involved different activities like open sport (volleyball match), painting competition, open quiz competition, mock parliament and stand-up act. The programme was attended/participated by Dr. Kul Bahadur Chettri, Nodal Officer, Electoral Literacy Club, along with 20 students from the School of Humanities, NBBGC, Tadong. Students participated in volleyball and painting competitions and secured second and first positions, respectively.
