One day Investor Awareness Programme was conducted by Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Gangtok in collaboration with Department of Sociology on 28th May 2023, in
the college seminar hall. The programme was attended by four resource persons from RBI, faculty members from the Department of Sociology, and students from 6th and
2nd semesters. The main agenda of the programme was to impart knowledge about financial assistance and literacy to the students.

The resource persons were Mr. Rahul Verma Manager, Mr. Mushu Marudi, Ms. LiyaBakshi, and Mr. Subash Luyagun. They focused on creating awareness about:
• Financial inclusion
• Digital transaction
• Challenges of digital transaction
• Grievance redressal mechanisms
• Employment opportunities in RBI
A quiz competition was also held where the winners were given gift vouchers. The vote of thanks was given by Dr. Kunsang O. Bhutia. Overall, the programme was beneficial for the entire participants, students in particular.
