Faculty members from Department of Physics attend the India International Science Festival (IISF) Young Scientists Conference in Bhopal

IISF is an initiative of the Government of India's Ministries of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, in collaboration with the Swadeshi-inspired Vijnana Bharati science movement in India. Students, the general public, scientists, entrepreneurs, and artists are all brought together in one platform to share in the excitement of performing science for the benefit of individuals and humanity. The theme for this year is “Marching towards Amrit Kaal with Science, Technology and Innovation”.Three young scientists from Dept. of Physics, NBBGC, Tadong, participated in the prestigious India International Science Festival (IISF) Young Scientists Conference, held at MANIT, Bhopal from 21st to 24th January 2023.
The programme was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, in the gracious presence of Dr. Jitendra Singh, Honorable Union Minister, Science & Technology and Earth Sciences. Dr. Homanth Luitel, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Physics, NBBGC was invited as a jury member and one of the subject experts for Physical Sciences. Out of 172 participants, Mr. Krishna Sharma, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Physics, NBBGC and Mr. Prabin Pyakurel, postgraduate student, NBBGC presented their research work on the theme of 'Frontier in Physics'. Both presentations were adjudged as top 10 in the presented category and also selected for publication in the forthcoming issue of a UGC-CARE listed journal.
